A FULLY ACCESSIBLE AIRPORT


Laredo International works hard to make the travel experience easy and safe for all of its passengers. The airport is fully accessible to individuals with physical challenges, those traveling with infants and small children, the elderly and others with special needs. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your experience at LRD more comfortable.

Laredo International (LRD) is designed for maximum accessibility, mobility, comfort, and convenience for all passengers and visitors. The airport follows ADA requirements and strives to provide facilities that enable everyone to move through the facility safely and efficiently.
LRD is accessible in the following ways: automatic doors, crosswalks, curb cuts, ramped access, level flooring, entrances, and elevators. Braille buttons are located in elevators and outside all doors/emergency exits. Airline ticket counters, point-of-sale counters, restrooms, drinking fountains, ATMs, and public seating areas are accessible.

 

PARKING

Designated parking areas for drivers of vehicles displaying proper identification are available. There are ample disabled parking spaces in the Long Term and Short Term garages. Click here Map Parking.
 

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Travelers who will need ground transportation in wheelchair accessible vehicles from the Airport should make arrangements in advance of their arrival. The following Taxi Cab companies offer ADA services.

WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANCE

Departing and arriving passengers can utilize wheelchair assistance provided by your Airline. Please contact your Airline to schedule assistance at no charge. To request wheelchair assistance after hours or for immediate needs call your Airline, United Airlines-United Accessibility Desk at 1-800-228-2744, American Airlines at 800-433-7300 and Allegiant Reservations Center at 1-702-505-8888. Courtesy phones are located throughout the terminal for your convenience.
 

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are allowed in the terminal when accompanying their owners. Passenger Terminal south and section there is a designated service animal relief area in Terminal B, the area is near the exit by at the Baggage Claim area, near the Ground Transportation Center.

 

RESTROOMS

Restrooms are located in Terminal first floor on the right and left side of the escaladors restroom has changing stations and seating for adults and children.

 

LACTATION ROOMS

Lactation rooms are coming soon in the Terminal second floor.

 

BAGGAGE CLAIM

The Airport Terminal Building is equipped with baggage belt start-up alarms and flashing light.
