Chick-Fil-A Now Open at Laredo International Airport

Whether you are traveling into the Laredo International Airport or headed out, there is now no reason to do so on an empty stomach. City of Laredo officials, together with Chick-fil-A Marketplace, has inked a partnership after City Council passed a motion allowing the popular chicken establishment to set up shop inside the airport. It is just one of many upgrades being made at Laredo’s airport.

“We are very excited to have such a reputable restaurant—and one that is well-liked—inside the airport,” said Gilbert Sanchez, Airport Director, Laredo International Airport. “It’s just the first of many new upgrades and improvements currently in the works that will enhance the overall traveling experience.”

Chick-Fil-A Owner Operator, Ms. Marty Speer, says she is grateful for the opportunity to partner with the City of Laredo in having her restaurant at the airport welcoming travelers arriving in Laredo, or those who are headed out.

“I am thrilled to be able to bring our delicious sandwich and other menu items to the airport,” said Marty. “When departing a plane after a long flight, it is common to be very hungry—and in many cases—the same for those waiting to board. So, I am excited to be able to provide airport patrons with a delicious meal, while of course welcoming them or sending them off with our signature ‘my pleasure.’”

Chick-fil-A Marketplace is located on the first floor of the airport, and is open for all travelers Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm. Complimentary 30-minute parking is also available for those wanting to enjoy a Chick-Fil-A meal at the airport location. Other upgrades and improvements that will soon be announced include the addition of a social bar and coffee shop.
